EXHIBITION IN LOS ANGELES AT THE LURIE GALLERY
Robertson+Rocha Design Studio is pleased to present FLOW
an Exhibition of Art, Music, Gastronomy and Consciousness. An exhibition of new works by Monica Perez, Sven Pfrommer and Terrell Moore. The exhibition runs from Dec 14 through January 06, 2020 with an opening reception on Wednesday Dec 11th from 6 to 9 pm.
Monica Perez’s works are expressions of emotion—impulsive, spontaneous gestures of hands on canvas. Her aesthetic unites paint and design with strokes of abandon and constraints of composition. She predominantly works in acrylic and often merges tactile and digital techniques in a single piece.“I create these pieces to work through personal and creative struggles and it’s liberating to pour myself out, transferring what was inside onto canvas. Looking at the pieces now are like reading through specific pages of my journal and reflecting on the process has made me stronger. When others stand in front of these pieces, I hope they too remember emotional and defining moments in their lives.”
Award winning photographer, artist and lecturer Sven Pfrommer is an observer and an experienced traveler. His works are often based on photographs taken on his journeys. Sven was born in Berlin, studied visual communication at the University of Hildesheim and earned the distinction to be a British Council scholar for visual art at The Royal College of Art in London. While working as a professional art director and photographer, he has spent the last 14 years focusing on his gallery works. He established his own gallery for contemporary photography at the art capital Berlin a decade ago. Since a few years his is also lecturing photography, art and design. His works has been shown in various galleries and art fairs worldwide. The Walter Thiemann price has been awarded to him. His has done commission works for the car industry, fashion industry, several hospitality and clinic projects.
Terrell Moore has been a professional fine art painter since age 18. After having a gallery for years in Venice, Inglewood and Downtown Los Angeles, the fire event has served as a serious setback in further establishing his presence in our art community.
From curse to blessing: Changing perceptions about kids with disabilities.
We support Ray of Hope Amazon, a nonprofit organization who provides information, support, and assistance to parents of children with disabilities in the Amazon Tribes. Villagers in the Amazon Region believe that if a child is born with special needs it is cursed by evil spirits and many children lack the most basic care. . These special needs children have been ignored, unwanted and uncared for and we want to change that. At Ray of Hope the desire is to bring truth to the villagers about their special needs child, teach parents how to care for their children, how to love and cherish them. Join us in bringing awareness to the these beautiful children who deserve a better life.
