My Artist Statement for the FLUID HORIZON Series
Inspired by the fluidity and impermanence of coastal horizons, I have created “FLUID HORIZON”, an abstract seascape photo art series that explores the interplay between natural landscapes and human perception. I used found glass to capture the essence of the sea’s ever-changing nature. Each piece is a photograph of light passing through found glass, juxtaposed with elements of seaside horizons. The glass, shaped by time, mirrors the natural processes of coastal landscapes, creating abstract compositions that evoke a dream-like view of the horizon.
These images blend sharp and blurred lines, light and shadow, and organic shapes, inviting viewers to lose themselves in the abstract beauty of the seascape. The fluid horizons reflect the transient nature of our experiences and the ever-changing world. The series encourages viewers to see beyond the literal and embrace the abstract, highlighting themes of transformation and rebirth as discarded objects gain new life through art. The horizon becomes a metaphor for exploration and discovery, symbolizing infinite possibilities.
